1. These were baby rabbits. They were a big rabbit family. The sister and brother rabbits helped each other as they grew up. They all had brown fur coats with small white spots. The white spots went away as they got older.
2. Baby rabbits were born blind and helpless. They were so weak, they could barely move. They used all of their muscles to feel their way around each other and the mother rabbit. Could you imagine that? Luckily, they were so little and new to the world, they didn’t know what’s going on!
3. At first, all they wanted was to drink the mother rabbit’s milk. Later, as they grew up, they gained sensitive noses. They came out of the rabbit hole with their mother and watched her sniff the air. Then they sniffed too. They saw if their mother liked the smell of the air or not. Soon, they became very clever. They knew one smell from another. They learnt how to stay away from big animals and how to find food.
